Heirs Of God Through Christ

Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
                                                                                      (Gal 4:3-7 KJV)

We who were in bondage to our sin are now free from the law of sin. We who were not his children are now his children. This not by our own doing but because of God's perfect love for us. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Because Jesus was willing to suffer the consequences of our sins we should now rejoice that we can cry out to our Father in heaven. We can speak to Him as a child speaks to a loving parent. We are now children. We are heirs of God through Jesus the Christ!

Let us rejoice in the love of our Father!

Bread Of Life

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. (John 6:35 KJV)

There are those in this world who are always hungering for more: for more things, for more status, for more power; for more of everything. They run after this more. They spend their lives reaching for more. Yet, they are never satisfied no matter how much more they get. They are so busy chasing after the wind that they do not have time to get to know the one who can satisfy their hunger and thirst.

For all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ will know that they already are heirs of the greatest gift ever possible. They are heirs of the Kingdom of God blessed to live in the presence of Almighty God now and for all eternity.

Live in God's presence and you will find that you will no longer be hungering and thirsting after things of this world; but, will be satisfied in the knowledge that Jesus is the bread that gives you joy and peace with what you have in this world whether it is a little or a lot. There is so much more than things of this world. This world will come to an end for all of us. But, life in God's presence will not end for those who believe.

Partake of the bread of life and live life!

Receiving A Kingdom

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
                                                                              Hebrews 12:28 KJV

If it weren't for the hope of the kingdom, I would find this world much more difficult to endure. By acknowledging that the kingdom of God is my inheritance by the grace of God, I can stand and keep on keeping on. It's not always easy as my sinful nature likes to creep in and tell me otherwise.

But, in the end, it is the love that I know that God has for me that wins out. I can rejoice in that knowledge.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
                                                                                     Romans 8:16-18

Shakings

"Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe..." Heb 12:28 NIV

Stability does not seem to come easily to people in the world today. Maybe, it never has. There are always challenges. Just when we think that we are doing well and the world around us is making progress or at least running at a comfortable pace something happens to set us back. Our world is shaken and we are not quite as comfortable as we were the day before.

Today, many grieve while many others celebrate the shaking up of the Castro regime. Their world got a real shaking up when Fidel Castro came to power almost 60 years ago. Yesterday, the world of many Cubans was shaken once again with his death.

There were many who were shaken with the election of Donald Trump as our next president. There were many who were just as shaken when Barack Obama was elected. That is just the way it is. Not everything or everyone will fit into our personal dreams. But, somehow we must attempt to come together so that the effects of these shakings will not devastate the world as we know it nor decimate the people that inhabit this world. Sometimes it is not the shaking up that brings the damage; but, how we react to the shakings.

With time, comes change. Sometimes the change is dramatic and shakes human kind to its core. Sometimes the change is so slight and so slow that the shaking up that it causes is barely perceptible. The world has experienced much shaking up since it's beginning. No one can know for sure what tomorrow will bring.

But, this we can know: that we are heirs of a kingdom that cannot be shaken. All who believe that Jesus died that we might be reconciled to our Father in heaven are heirs of the Kingdom of God; the only kingdom that cannot be shaken.

Trust in the one who has prepared this unshakeable Kingdom for you. Trust Him with all your heart, and soul, and mind.
