Praise God!

Psalm 150 KJV
Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

We have so many things to be thankful for. We have so many reasons to praise the Lord. From the beginning of the dawn of the ages he has given us life. Then in his time; when the time was fulfilled, he gave us Jesus to give us new life and the promise of life in his kingdom now and forevermore.

Just imagine how wonderful life would be if everyone set aside their negative attitudes and expelled the spirits of victimhood. Imagine how wonderful life would be if we took the time to count our blessings and to smell the proverbial roses and gave thanks and praise to God for the good in our lives. Not everything is always as bad as we might think.

Let us celebrate and praise God for every breath that we take and for giving us second and third and endless chances to turn to him and live life in his presence.

We have so many reason to praise God. Let us praise him with every breath that we take.

Who Will You Follow?

“You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve.

Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”
                                                                                          John 6:67-69 (NIV)

To whom shall we go indeed?! Shall we listen to someone other than the One who gives us eternal life? Shall we follow anyone other than the one that gives us the spiritual food needed to sustain us for all eternity?

Not all of the people who were following Jesus wanted to hear this. Like many people today they went away from Jesus looking for things that would satisfy them in this world. Spiritual things are okay as far as they go. But, many, including those who claim to be Christians, prefer things of this world rather than the Kingdom of God.

As Joshua asked the Israelites so we must also ask ourselves: "choose this day whom you will serve.." And, prayerfully, we will all respond: "as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”  (Joshua 24:15)
May God grant us the faith that we should all follow and serve Jesus Christ, who is our bread of life.

Praise Ye The Lord!

"Praise the Lord from the earth,
you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,
lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding,
you mountains and all hills,
    fruit trees and all cedars,
wild animals and all cattle,
    small creatures and flying birds,
kings of the earth and all nations,
you princes and all rulers on earth,
young men and women,
    old men and children."
                                  Psalm 148:7-12 NIV

God is God of all of creation. He has made all things marvelously. Let us intentionally look around us today so that we might be better able to understand his awesome sovereignty; to grasp more firmly the reality of His gifts to humankind and all of creation. God, alone, is worthy to be praised. Let us all praise the Lord!
