He Is The Lord Of All

The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.
                    (Psalm 103:19, 22 KJV)

Bless the Lord who is the creator and redeemer of all! He rules over all things.

The Lord God through the Word, who is Jesus the Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit has created all things; both the seen and the unseen. Alas, the world decided to go it's own way and reject the Kingdom of God. But, just because the Kingdom of God is refused by humankind does not mean that His rule is diminished. Whether we like it or not our Lord is the King over all Kings. God is in charge!

Because humankind rejected his Kingdom, by rejecting His rule and despising His love and mercy, God sent His only begotten Son to redeem us from our sins. We who were separated from God's loving presence; from His Kingdom, are now reconciled to Him through the blood of Christ. We have been redeemed by His loving mercy. The Kingdom of God and His loving presence is with us now and always through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. This is the Good News!

Let us bless and love the Lord at all times and in all places for the marvelous works He has done for us!

Sing His Praise

PSALM 47 KJV

O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.

Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.

The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

+++

Sing praises to God with a joyful spirit for He is the King of all the earth. He sits on His throne above all princes of the people and He reigns above all of them.

There are many who would like to control our lives; but, they cannot for we have been freed from bondage by the blood of God's only begotten Son Jesus the Christ.

Thank the Lord and sing praises to Him for He has done a marvelous thing!

Run The Race With Patience

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
                                                                                       (Heb 12:1-2 KJV)

What sin besets you today? Are you living with hope? Are you living so that you might be helpful to others and in the long run to yourself? Or, do you look at everything like your world is coming to an end?

St. Paul advises us to lay aside the weight and the sin that so easily beset us. Lay aside your negativity and put one foot in front of the other so that you might continue to run the race that is set before us all. Not everyone is happy with the restrictions that have been placed upon us due to COVID-19. But, this will pass. It is a time to come together even if we cannot be together. Each of us can be fruitful by living carefully so that we might not harm any others. It will take patience as we are very social beings. It is difficult for many not to socialize frequently. Staying home may be a challenge; but, it is what is needful for the health of our neighbors. It is a little thing to do to help save our loved ones as well as our neighbors whom we may not even know.

Do not be overcome with this weight. This, too, shall pass. Continue to run this race with patience and hope. Believe that God is with you and for you and working in and through you.

Our Lord Reigns

"And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end."  Luke 1:30-33 KJV

What can I say more? The Word of the Lord and it is so!

Thanks be to God for our Lord Jesus the Christ, born of a virgin, reigns!

Walk In Integrity!

The righteous walk in integrity—
happy are the children who follow them!
A king who sits on the throne of judgment
winnows all evil with his eyes."
                                                Prov 20:7-8

My grandchildren are growing older and I am growing old. One word my grandchildren have heard from me an awful lot over the years is "integrity." I have admonished them many times to "walk with integrity" and to "speak with integrity." That is; to not embellish stories so that the stories fall apart once the details of the story begin to be questioned and to also not be creating drama for drama's sake.

Although; there has been the exceptions, I usually do not remind anyone other than my grandchildren to walk and talk with integrity. But, that is not because I don't want to. I simply don't feel that it is my place or that it will do any good. My grandchildren, though, I have major amounts of hope for so I remind them of the way the Lord would have them go so that they might have peaceful and fruitful lives. The "others" usually just get the "eye." My grandchildren also know about the "eye." Many times over the years, my eldest granddaughter has asked me for no apparent reason at all: What?" I have usually responded, "I didn't say anything." She complains that I looked at her with that "eye." That is usually when I start wondering and questioning what she is up to; what she is planning that she doesn't want me to know about. I do this because I care about her life and her future and not just life in this world; but, in the Kingdom to come.

The righteous are those who are cleansed by the blood of Jesus and because he abides with and in them, they will desire to walk in integrity, to walk in the way of his truth. Happy are the children who follow those who walk in integrity. Happy are the children who follow Jesus.

May God keep you in his truth, talking and walking in integrity.

The Sunday of Hope

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and peace
    there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
    and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
    with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
will accomplish this. Isaiah 9:6-7 NIV

Long before Jesus was born as a mere baby in a barn, the people of Israel trusted that he would come. They believed God's promises long before anyone saw it come to fruition with their own eyes. The people of Israel had hope.

Today is the first Sunday in Advent. It is the Sunday of hope. The celebration of Messiah's birthday is but a few weeks away. We look for the celebration of his birth even as we wait in hope for him to come again. If the Israelites could wait for generations with confidence in God's promise that he would come to reign over them, we who have been made aware that he has come, ought to be able to live our lives in the confidence; in the hope that he has come, he is here, he will come again.

May God grant us all hope that God is even know accomplishing all things for the good of those who love Him.
